Positive Pay

Positive Pay is an effective service to help reduce check fraud. Positive Pay functions jointly with an issued item file, uploaded by you, detailing the check numbers, amounts, and payee of all issued checks or drafts. Once Bank of George receives the file, it is imported into the bank’s processing center for a comparative analysis to the items being processed. If discrepancies occur between the issued item file and the processed item, exceptions will be created. Positive Pay enables you to make a pay or no pay decision while viewing the item/image via the Internet. Additionally, bank tellers can also view items when cashing checks to confirm the information and validate the item.
